Greece - Alternate Foreign Minister Droutsas' interview on Austrian public radio 'ORF 1'

Our basic pursuit is for Greece to be the motor force behind the European perspectives of all our neighboring countries in the Western Balkans. This holds true for FYROM as well. But we say that a prerequisite for the opening of accession negotiations with Skopje is the resolution of name dispute, an issue that has unfortunately dragged on for many years. Greece – and the new government in particular – is going into this process with a very open stance. We would like another effort at rapprochement with Skopje, a policy that we have implemented as the government in the past as well. We have done a lot for our neighbour, FYROM, particularly in economic sectors. Greece continues to be the number one investor in FYROM.

There have been efforts but, as you can tell just by looking at this forum, many on both sides are too stubborn to even be civil towards each other.

Then i will create imaginary maps that annex half of my southern neighbour's nation, and utilsie its historic symbols and use them as my new state symbols as well as renaming prominant public spaces like malls, stadiums, airports etc to the ancient heroes that once roamed parts of my new country and claim ancestory to them.

I will ignore my neigbours concerns, even though they are the top investor in my country, and will endorse uncredited historians and scientists to prove we are the true heirs of this name and territories, and our southern neigbours are just imposters, who by chance have learned the Greek language once the Ottoman yolk was removed from the balkans.

I have US support, so i do not need to change. The world needs to change and understand, the new Macedonian Order - we do not know how to speak or interpret our ancestors language, but none the less, we are heirs to the Macedonians!!

Macedonians was not assimilated and helenized at least last 2000 years and trust me there is not even a small trace of that to happened nova days. People need to celebrate their differencies not to accuse them.
