What we need is an MLB affiliated team.

You said it...get rid of the current pathetic excuse of a baseball team the city has now. When the REAL Diablos AA team left, I stopped going until they brought back a affiliated MLB team. It's possible to get one in the next 2-5 years but it's up to the incompetent City Council to get the wheels in motion.

Dont go blaming city council when >5% of the registered voters end up at the polls when their seats are up for grabs. Blame yourselves for keeping an "incompetent City Council"

How do you expect to get an MLB affiliated team when the city does not support it? Heck, Midland/Odessa supports their baseball and hockey teams better with a much smaller population. The only time I ever saw Cohen packed to the gills was when Randy Johnson did his rehab stint here. As soon as he was out of the game, the stadium was at half capacity.

the nerve of the current owners and soon to be past owners to say that once a new ownership is in place that they (the past owners) hope the city will make stadium improvements. what improvements did they make = NONE the cheapskates. They have a cheap has been team and they charge as if they were at triple A MLB affiliated team. Where are El Paso's millionaires and billionaires. Bring a double A or better yet triple A MLB affiliated team to El Paso. Lets loose this rinky dink team. I do not blame the players for wanting to play ball I blame the no good cheapskate owners.

Agreed Jace...El Paso only goes to game if the team is winning, if it is free, 25 cent hot dog night etc etc. El Paso has a great juniors hockey team but gets little support. I blame that on either the Rhinos publicity team and or the media. The Rhinos finished second in the nation yet you hear very little about it. Bring back Dudley Field and add those deliciousbean and cheese burritos to 25 cent hot dog night.
