"These so-called right-to-work laws, they don't have anything to do with economics, they have everything to do with politics," Obama told cheering workers Monday during a visit to an engine plant in Redford, Mich. "What they're really talking about is giving you the right to work for less money." Ignorance unchained, Mr. president. As near as I can determine, you've done some community organizing in between doing blow, had a few non-profit jobs with no discernible results, taught some form of mangled Constitutional law with no record, and became a government worker with a less-than-distinguished record before inexplicably becoming the leader of the Free World. What the he!! do you know about working? I mean really producing something. Taking something, making it more valuable, and passing it on to others. You are a mean-spirited, spiteful political hack who actually parades your contempt for individual rights with statements like this. You actually want unions to remove the power of choice from individuals about their affiliation with organized labor! You would prefer that I succumb to this union power. You have declared war on my rights as a citizen.
I think it's clear that president obama, like most politicians, has his vision for how you and I are to live, and by God, we'll do it like the good sheep we are! And yes, right-to-work laws do have everything to do with politics, because they're freaking LAWS. That's called being political. I'm really tired of this idiotic notion that there are these Snydely Whiplash types in top hats and curly mustaches, laughing maniacally as they thrust their hands into a poor, hard-working sap's pockets and run off with all your money as you cry and hold your baby with a high fever. Maybe, just maybe mind you, there's an actual reason for passing these right-to-work laws. Like, I don't know, MICHIGAN IS STARING DOWN THE BARREL AT INSOLVENCY AND THEY'LL TRY ANYTHING TO STOP THE BLEEDING!! Maybe they look at the host of auto competitors like Kia, Nissan, etc. making hay while the sun shines in southern, right-to-work states and they've finally figured out that despite government bailouts, they're going to die if they can't compete. I live in North Carolina, the least unionized state in the US, and we're not the ones who are broke. In fact, if the multitude of Northerners who have flooded into our state in the last decade are any indication, we're kind of nicer and better than Michigan, New York, Massachusetts, and all these other stalwarts of union labor, with a better standard of living. So please, give the unions everything they want, unionize every hotel maid and taxi driver in the state, drive up the cost of living with your exorbitant wages and promise pensions that pay people the same amount to not work for thirty years as they did when they actually produced things, do anything to keep them happy and contained before they try to mosey down south to see what all the success is about.
