This taz is on EVERY store that buys anything of value. So, when you got to Half Price Books to sell your books, you will have to give ID, your photo taken with the books, and a description of everybook you sold, which becomes police knowledge.

This tax was adopted on April 8 and approved April 9th... so one day, no businesses in Greenfield heard of this until July! Plato's closet, just opened in Greenfield, and she used her numbers from her Illinios store, and it will run her $13,000 in taxes. Our store, about $30,000.

This all stemmed from Robert Haack being proactive on giving our detective leads, which have solved many crimes. The detectives before, never came into the store, and never cared.

Please help repeal this tax.

Thank you.

I own the Military Collectibles Shop in West Allis and I fear this is going to spread there as well.

Any excuse to get more money. The fees I pay for my "second hand dealer license" ( which had doubled) are supposed to cover this.

Where to do they get off even asking for 1% of the transaction as well? They want a slice of MY pie? Just for doing THEIR job? Sorry. Keep your overpaid government hands out of my pockets.

This is an unnecessary burden on the small business owners, along with the new federal requirements that they snuck into the "health care" bill that requires any payout of over $600 to be reported to the IRS

Maybe we should then just privatize the police force so the "taxburden" of healthcare, OT and retirement doesn't fall on the taxpayers either.

I think local government needs to see what the "Tea Party" can bring them.

Boooooooooo Taxation Boooooo!!!
