Why do journalists call 19 "teen" sometimes, "youth" sometimes, and "adult" other times? Our young people become soldiers at 18; that makes them men / women in my book, not a teen, not a youth...adult 100%, and they should be held accountable and tried as such.

I'm curious why this 19 yr old isn't being with 1st degree murder , instead of 2nd degree ? it sounds as if it is premeditated , and i thought that is first degree.

To blame craigs list is a bit silly in my opinion. This person culd have used a newspaper, an online ad on auto trader, or any other classified ad and still have done this horrible action. In any life situation you need to be careful and this is a perfect example why. For example, if the car owner had insurance a much safer way to sell your car is to keep the drivers license of the person and let them take for a drive... even if they steal the car that is what you have insurance for... And worst case scenario os a stolen car - not death.

In this case I personally blame the parents, his schooling, and every other influence in his life that should have taught him better or caught this before he killed someone.... but Craig's list? Sounds like a scapegoat. Think of it this way - if Craigslist were gone tomorrow would it have prevented this tragedy? The ansewr is - of course not...
