Needed a break from caring for the child!!!! Don't we all - however - us responsible parents don't leave babies with teens for a weekend! So typical! She, the mother, will most likely have her back in no time! Great system we have - hey.

This is unreal, what world do these people come from and why were they allowed to reproduce.

She needed a break, what did she think it was a part time job. Stop making excuses for her and accept the fact that she is a lazy mom.

Child welfare in my opinion is the biggest joke in Milwaukee, but I guess should we really think anything different. After all it is a Government ran JOKE!!!

@ Mznessa, thank god for you:) Your a great mom/grandmother. I am sorry for the way things worked out but I am sure glad that little girl had such a great GRANDma to take care of her!!!

js is reporting that she gave three people $20 to watch the girl for a weekend. She couldn't provide names or an address. The babysitters called her and asked to keep the kid for awhile and she said yes. 2-3 weeks later, the kid was dehydrated and had a 102 degree fever.

The sad thing here is the grandparents who should be enjoying there golden years, often end up taking the brunt of the of situations like this. They end up raising the grandkids because there own children for whatever reason will not, or are unable to take care of there own kids. And it's not up to grandma and grandpa to do this, but they feel if they don't step in the county will take the kids away.

When will these young girls "WAKE UP!", and realize that all these young, horny, idiot boys, just want to screw with them to make a baby to prove to society that they are a "MAN"! They don't give a flying feather about the female other then she is willing to spread her legs for them!! The more baby mammas they do, the more of a man they THINK they are! But "NO". not enough to pay child support for!! Now "A REAL MAN", is a male who does PAY child support for the children that they have. Maybe if all of these young ladies would wait until they get "OLDER" to screw around, they would be able to have taken their time to find that "REAL MAN" who is out there, who would really care about them & "MAKE LOVE", to them & stay with them & support their child that they conceived together!!!! I feel sorry for the innocent 2 year old of this young girl who is just a baby herself!! Why didn't she ask the DADDY of this child to be with to be his son? I know the answer to that!! SAD,

I'm sure that Really wasn't making any racial slur by saying "these people" Get a grip. What I am sure that Really was referring to was irresponsible people/kids becoming parents...
I mean, really, what is this world coming to? People having children like they're some toys that can be put away when they are tired or bored with them. There are so many people out there that would give their heart and soul into being parents, but cannot...and then you've really got your crappy parents that should never have been blessed with children in the first place. Who are the ones to suffer? Certainly not the irresponsible...In the long run, it's the precious lives that they hold in their hands.
And WAY TO GO GRANDMA for sticking up for your grandchild! I think sometimes that needs to be done more often...

I woman deserves to have her child taken away. Why would you pay three different people to babysit. If you have 3 people how hard is it to take care of a little one. The baysitters didnt care obviously. The mother is not responsible. Next time find someone you can trust to watch your baby. Here is an idea how about Mom

I had my daughter at age 15. She is now 24, successful, works in a law firm and is engaged to be married. So when an unfortunate incident like this happens, and the person in question is a young mother, it automatically has to do with her age.
The woman who recently murdered her newborn by 'throwing her in the garbage' was 23 years old. How about the 43 year old getting her 12 yr old and friends drunk?
So at what age do we become 'responsible' parents? It isn't a question of age. You either 'have it' or you don't. And if you don't, God help your children.

Who has been writing the online reports for the FOX 6 News team lately? Are they not edited prior to being released? For example,'the 13-year-old's house'- who is the 13 year old? There have been quite a few errors in the recent online postings and I have viewed comments from other readers indicating the same. Please accept as constructive criticism.

First of---The mom, amd I use the term loosely has to say to the cops that she left the kid with someone... She can't say, "I left the kid alone", because that would really incriminate her. so it's better to lie and make up some cock and bull story as she probally did.
Second of all this isi not an isolated case. This happens all of the time in the inner city. Now, it's reslly gonna get you and in the suburbs and all over.
Third, Thank God the kid was not hurt....

Besides if youir kid is missing and you don't know where he/she is and he/she is very young, don't you call the police???? Do you just sit and wait for "someone" to bring the baby back? Hell,I go out looking when I can't find my 28 year old!!!!

Say what you want. That's a great thing about our country. But really I don't care. Because:
1. I know you do anyways.
2. It's ok for YOU to say such things. Because you're black.
3. It's tolerated by you. Because you're black.
4. I have no white guilt instilled upon my conscience by the media and I know what the world is REALLY like out there.
No You don't have a clue about how it feels to be black and the things "WE black people" have to deal with

Too many young girls not waiting for the right guy to come along and get married, before they spread their legs to every guy that is willing to do them. Then when she comes up pregnant, that guy does a disappearing act. If you are not ready to have kids, either keep your legs closed or use birth control. Celebacy is not a bad word.
