I don't know anything either and have a close friend who is there now. All I know is that the Soldier was 21. Have YOU heard any more details?

The soldiers name is Paul. He is my nieces boyfriend and family has been by his side. Due to privacy issues, all I can tell you is his first name.

The boy who was injured is my son. I would like to let all the mothers that are out there know that we were notified almost as soon as the injury occured and flown to his bedside. My son is doing well and looking forward to getting on with his life.

Kathleen,
I just wanted to let you know that we have been praying for your son since the moment we heard, and still continue to pray for a quick/complete recovery. My husband was with him in Yakima and I was able to see your son last Friday, he looks like he is doing well and we are glad that he seems to be getting on with his regular activities. May God bless you and your family.

Kathleen,
I just want you to know that we are praying for your son. My son is at Fort Lewis also. Let me say I am sorry for the Old Solider's comment we can only pray for him.I am very thankful they learn RESPECT from home and carry it on in their lives in the Army. Wish you and your son all the best.
