And 100,000 former factory workers should be empathetic and sympathetic because they too finally have to face and take an insignificant budget cut and expect them to scoff because they are not really being fired or laid off? Ain't it neat when government workers have to compete?

They ought to go on strike and stay away without pay, until we beg them to return to work, because we cannot stand the hurt!
