As longtime Huntsville AL Realtors we have followed stories related how defense spending will effect Huntville's economy, home and real estate prices and housing demand. While initial stories predicted doom, recent ones are less negative. The fear and uncertanty has already caused real estate investor clients to pause. We are all holding our breath but so far it looks like the effect will be modest. In the long-term forced pending cuts may be one of the best possible actions. History shows us that as dependance on government increases productivity and growth suffers. Already many say that the United States is starting to look a lot like 1990's Greece.
