Guys you need to cool it a bit, I have been reading up on events of late and must say that the 'crazy theory' in fact agrees pretty well with conclussions I drew even before seeing it, although I don't think the Enterprise will sink, but need only take a hit, so to the mothers and wives who have sailors on board, I don't think its as gloomy as this worst case senario painty here for the crewman, but gloomy nevertheless. Thats war.

But worst case scenarios aside, war is comming soon with Iran... very soon, and it will be played out in a way to lobby the support of the american people (again simple political logic), so I think it to much of a coincidence that a third and aging carrier is stationed there at the same time that war is anticipated.

Also the media is a buzz with articles stating that it will IMMEDIATELY swop with the Stennis. That be the case, if it doesn't in the near future [when it arrives], the cat will be out of the bag and a strike will need to happen immediately, either against or 'from' Iran. It simply isn't logical to pre-empt a strike when it would be far more useful to fake a crises warrenting it, especially considering the present public opinion in the US.

I am genuinly sorry for the families of the naval officers there who are reading this, if its any consolation, the ramifications of a large scale war in the middle east will be dire for the whole world.

Either way, I think we can all rest easy for the time being once the Enterprise arrives and if it does swop, if not, God save us all.

On a slightly more encouraging note, let me admit that 'war with Iran' has seemed imminent several times in the past, so that should at least be some beakon of hope under the current events... ie. chances are extremely high that I am wrong and this is all very clever sabre rattling and maneuvering.
