I was going through a course where the instructor gave us a site where you could search for open billets. I figured it would be easy to find so I didn't write it down. Well it's not as easy as I expected so I was wondering if anyone knew where this site might be located? Thanks in advance!

Is it called JASS? I believe it may be on bupers online?

It's on nko under the top left tab career management. You can apply there and it'll give you contact info for your detailer.

You aren't able to access it unless you have a cac card now. Hope this helps.

I served during the stone age (pre-Internet) but why not ask your unit or ships career counselor/ Command Master Chief instead of a unless web site , no offence shipmate just asking OK.

Thanks for your service shipmate.

I was just approved to go active duty to reserve. I wanted to see what was open for my rate.I have to go great lakes and meet what a detailer, but I here that if you dnt knw them already they wouldnt try to give a billet you may like. Should I fill out the preference sheet and do a presearch?

I assume you mean you went from reserve to active duty?

If you have access you can view what available for your rate on JASS which is on the BUPERS/NAVPERS website.

You can also call your detailer....

Why do you have to go to Great Lakes to meet your detailer??

The Website is https://www.cmsid.navy.mil

It used to be JASS, now it's known as CMS or Interactive Detailing

I forgot to mention that it needs to be a DOD computer to access it. at least I believe so because i've never been able to access it at home.

I have sent several emails to my command asking for this same help and no one bothers to return my phone calls or emails! Very frustrating! and to top it off, I get an error on the JASS website and I live two hours from any base. My ID cards works fine on NKO, NSPIS, BUPERS, you name it, except JASS. something about a name definition. I am not about to drive two hours to fix something on my ID card that should have been done right the first time...
