It wouldn't be the first time there was no polar ice and I'll guarantee you that the last time wasn't caused by anything man produced.

Correct: the last time the North Pole was ice free, no humans were alive to cause it. Those past meltings were due to natural orbital cycles and flood basalts, and they were often accompanied by mass extinctions that killed most life on Earth, as deserts spread and seas putrified.

The fact that we are melting all the world's ice on our own this time is no cause for comfort. Your only choice is to act now or to dump hundreds of trillions in costs on your kids, their kids and twenty generations to come.

Not to worry Big Al is growing at about the same rate the ice caps are shrinking. We can anchor him in the North Pole to replace the ice caps. That would solve two problems.

When I was 9 or 10 I spent a lot of time in planetariums and reading books on astronomy. All telescopic pictures of Mars showed a substantial ice cap at least 1200 miles in diameter, even the fuzzy pictures showed this. Of course there weren't any satellites or rovers then so it could have been a hoax.

Current pictures of Mars show NO ice at either pole. Since there aren't any cars or coal-fired plants or over-populated cities on Mars, where did the ice go? There aren't any forests to burn; there isn't enough oxygen in the Martian atmosphere to sustain photosynthesis.

So where did the ice cap go? Maybe Al Gore knows the answer to this one. The images in this picture: http://www.edb.utexas.edu/missiontomars/bench...
were taken in an 8-month period by NASA.

Denying reality is a way of life for some. The city of New Orleans should have been shrimp bait long ago but the levvies (almost always) held. The Netherlands is another Sea World that costs billions to keep out the dampness.

All I'm saying is that there is as much money to be made pandering to panic as there is in actual study. Al Gore is a millionaire several times over because he is so prolific.

But that doesn't mean he knows what he's talking about.

One day you're rambling on about unbelieveable physical hardship, death and destruction, now you're rambling on about costs.
You come across like Fat Al, he can't make his mind up which garbage to exaggerate next either.

You have been BOUGHT, you imbecile, and the price was too low to even be considered a bargain.

YES the surface is warming. YES ice is melting. YES sea levels will rise. YES coastal real-estate will have problems.

NO is isn't man-made, and NO it isn't going to be fixed by Boy Scouts. Warming and cooling are normal cycles on this and other planets. Neither you nor Al Gore can turn off the carbon dioxide being poured into the atmosphere by volcanoes, thermal vents, or other NATURAL phenomena.

But Al Gore and an army like him can make BILLIONS off mindless drones like you who are ready to believe that the sky is falling, the oceans rising, the mountains crumbling... etc.

The convenience of Global Warming is to initiate a divorce from oil as the primary source of energy and nuclear war. Can't you see that???

Every major scientific body, including every major national science academy on Earth, disagrees.

"we have met the enemy and he is us"

Correct. Warmists ARE the enemy.

The Earth has been warming and cooling from the beginning and even arrogant "scientists" can't hold back the process.

You simply need an enemy, and talk radio has grown rich crafting one for you. A cluster of whiny, wimpy, dissolute, purple-sweatered college professors in goatees and ponytails, Birkenstocks and beads--all grasping for your tax dollars to fund research trips to Tuscany, right?

Meanwhile, pay no attention to the multi-trillion-dollar energy industry working the controls behind the curtain.

Don't you realise that we humans are part and parcel of Earth's ecology and for better or worse that's the state of play?
The only answer is to reduce our number, especially in the area of those unwilling to fend for themselves, the unable get a free pass.

Stop immigration NOW for those who aren't entitled, there's no need to fill countries with more useless individuals, most countries have more than enough of those already.
Send them back to where they originated with a generous handout, like the UK is trying to do, but failing miserably at.

You mean like the money and ideology-driven "scientists" behind the curtain of lies that were revealed by the hacked e-mails.

You mean like the ridiculous Warmist hero and scare-monger Al Gore, who stands to make billions from the scams he's driven.

You mean like the Warmist hero James Hansen, who recommended in a letter to Obama that Warmists gain public acceptance for Anthropogenic Global Warming by creating a massive carbon tax to be re-distributed to the populace as a dividend.

You mean like the IPCC, which is a political, not scientific, organization that is dedicated to worldwide wealth redistribution.

The Earth has been warming and cooling from the beginning and in spite of their lies and promises, there is nothing the arrogant, hypocritical Warmists can do about it.

I'm not suggesting killing off the living either, but reducing the chance of those with no possible future from producing offspring with the same amount of chance.

You have to know that Gore, et al., comes from moonbat territory, where global warming is real and people talk to the dead:

-36 percent of Democrats report being in touch with someone who is dead, compared with only 21 percent of Republicans.
-21 percent of Democrats say they have seen a ghost, compared with only 11 percent of Republicans.
-22 percent of Democrats say they have consulted a fortune-teller, compared with 9 percent of Republicans.
-30 percent of Democrats say they believe in reincarnation, compared with 17 percent of Republicans.
-31 percent of Democrats say they believe in astrology, compared with 14 percent of Republicans
-31 percent of Democrats view yoga as a spiritual practice, compared with 15 percent of Republicans.
-30 percent of Democrats say they believe in spiritual energy, compared with 17 percent of Republicans.

Among all the groups, black Protestant female respondents who were Democrats between the ages of 50 and 64 and had less than a high-school education were most likely to report being in touch with the dead.

White male Evangelical Protestants who were Republicans between the ages of 18 and 29 were least likely to say they have felt in touch with a dead person.

Aren't you comforted to see that Moonbats, including Gore and his "global warming" fairytale, are SO grounded in reality???

Limousine liberals ALWAYS say "Do as I say, not as I do!" Airliners are one of the biggest pollution sources on the planet. Under the Dems they will have to bear a huge tax (and probably a VAT on the tickets, too). Soon all you happy airline users will hear "Welcome aboard Screw-U Airlines, please fasten your seat belts, but get out your purses and wallets first. Thank you for flying Screw-U."
