I'm so happy Congress finally agreed to sign off of that new $1,500 Billion line of credit. For a few days there, we thought we were going to have an awkward and painful debate about America's spending habbits and bleak financial future. But what a relief; the Republicans caved and now the Democrats can kick back and take a load off knowing that America's credit card still works.

You do realize that this whole thing was over actually paying down the debt.. Not add to the debt..

You hopefully understand that a default would mean more than a discussion on any topic. It would be nuking our economy and sparking a recession that would make the last one seem a pleasant day dream in comparison.

That this whole thing was over nothing more than procedural vote that was enabling the country to actually pay the debt.

That even from the beginning any one with sense knew this would be a stupid move in shutting down the government. Even partially. That once more we may face a down grade in the country credit rating because of these shenanigans. Making all the more harder to pay down the debt and slow the economic recovery even further.

You do understand all that.. Or is that beyond your ability to understand that much common sense.

Simple. The sequester dropped spending and the deficit decreases quickly every year. So, Raise the da.. taxes on the rich and BOOM, problem solved. It's not rocket science.

That is correct.
The actual SIZE of the debt needs to be addressed in a RESPONSIBLE manner.
We need to stop POINTING fingers at each party.
We need to point the finger at CONGRESS and say, let's get our FINANCIAL HOUSE IN ORDER!!

this is starting to sound good to me. We can give up all our freedom so I can quit my job and live off the government for 10 years so everyone can wise up and quit there jobs and we will all be equal since no one will be working. Then, 10 years from now there will be no more welfare, food stamps, healthcare, or HUD around because no one is left to pay for it and we can all be equally broke, without houses without food or water and can live off the land, killing each other for survival. That socialistic plan sure sounds great! I think I'll quit my job tomorrow! What was I thinking being a conservative for so long? You liberals sure have it all figured out!
what ya got , is nothing but a bunch of cowards trying to fraud off SSA recipients, look for more hoax and stage.
