I consider Obama's approach thoughtful logic, with an ultimate goal of idealism. Nothing will be shattered.

They're predicting a terrorist attack w/in the next 5 years, and apparently there's also a credible threat to the NYC subway system during this holiday season. Maybe all these troops can help mop up afterward, but I don't know how effective they'll be in actually preventing scary stuff from happening. I have to hope Obama will step away from abusing this power. I think he will.

How about spending some of that money on training first responders and local law enforcement who can be site quicker and are more familiar with the terrain than a couple thousand centrally located soldiers that have to be transported at great cost to everyone involved? The troops make no sense other than to put a greater cost on federal tax payers and to bring profit to whoever we've liscenced out their travel and training. Sad.

But how much do you think Obama can actually do?
