American Water Awarded Two Military Contracts
American Water, the largest investor-owned U.S. water and wastewater utility company, announced recently that its Military Services Group has been awarded contracts for operation and maintenance of the water and the wastewater systems at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and Fort Meade, Maryland.

My question is: What type of disinfecting methods will be used for potable drinking water?
Would appreciate a response.

If it is like most government contracts, they will take over the same method currently used a the installation (most likely chlorine gas). They will have a certain number of years to upgrade the system, which may include switching to liquid chlorine.
