A Veteran's Story: Medic stopped WWII for a moment
Saint Louis, MO
#1 Jan 12, 2010
I have had the honor of meeting Mr.Paul Martin. Mr. Martin and my father served together with the 71st Infantry Regiment of the 44th Division, 2nd Battalion, Company E. I told Mr. Martin's story about stopping the war to a friend of mine before Christmas. I also told my friend the story my father had told me about the battle on New Years Eve referred to as the Battle of Nordwind. I am very happy to see that Mr. Martin was recognized for his service and hopefully his story will be retained for future generations to read.
