Wouldn't it be nice if everyone at the parade were waving flags, and showing more support than they showed for the Vietnam soldiers or other wars? I know alot of us will be, and some blue stars on that red and white santa hat works for me.Lee Greenwood singing "I'm proud to be an American" would be great too, anyone know him personally?:)

The parade was great. I for one was pleased with the support given to the soldiers. The soldiers looked awesome. As for Lee Greenwood, I knew a guy that helped set up for a USO type show featuring Greenwood. He said he was a jerk and very demanding. Call me unamerican but I hate that song. It doesn't make any sense. "if tomorrow all the things were gone I worked for all my life and I had to start again with JUST my children and my wife". Well pardon me for asking mr greenwood but if you family is still with you what did you loose that is so important? Your car, house, job?

Yes, it was an awesome parade, the people were very supportive with the flag waving and thanking the Soldiers as they went by. I don't think your unAmerican for not liking the song, we just took something different from it. We find our own things to inspire and motivate us and unlike other places in the world; it doesn't have to be what everyone else likes.
