Why are parents letting their 16 year old girls stay out all night? I blame the girls, not the military. the soldiers probably saw them wasted out of their minds and decided to let them sleep it off. Yes, they violated the rules, but they didn't kill anyone. They will get in as much trouble as if they did though, if they get caught. The military takes punishment to extreme levels for even minor infractions.

the barracks are just like college dorms, not world war 2 style open bays. people are quick to blame the military and how they should be monitoring people in the barracks - give me a break. darren, you;re right, where are these parents? i think that is the real failure in this case. it is tragic, but it just points out how important it is to be involved in you childrens lives

Military has higher standards than that of regular civilian life, so I support the decision of those in trained and experienced roles to make the right decisions.
