How strange that the Prosecution hadn't brought this up before? Why wasn't this conversation that supposedly took place not entered in the pre-trial?
I must admit that at first I was angry with my friend's treatment. But, in retrospect I am a practical person:
While everyone else was fighting a war; the 54th Battalion had enough time one their hands to bully one of their own to the point of driving him to insanity. If I could ask the Army for something besides clemmency and compassion for my friend. I would ask them to take into consideration the effectiveness of the 54th Engineering Battalion and the quacks(With all due respect, I mean the mental health professionals)in making my friend insane and ship all those involved to Afghanistan so that they can also make the Taliban crazy. Who knows--they did it once: Maybe they can make the Taliban go postal on each other or make them jump off a cliff.
