I think that those who support the war in either place should pay for it and/or go fight in it. Those of us who support health insurance for folks who don't have it, should have some of our taxes go to subsidize the insurance policies - government option only, if that is what we favor - for those who need help paying for the insurance. That would be a fair exchange. No one who disagrees with either war should have to pay for it, or go fight in it. The Government should sell war bonds to Americans and others, with low rates of interest and long-term expiration dates, to raise the funds for the wars, and not borrow to pay for them. Those who want war can buy the bonds - McCain, Lindsey Graham, and their kind. I'd rather support someone's chance to live and be healthy, than to subsidize some soldier's risking horrible injury or death, or inflicting it upon some innocent civilian somewhere.
