Sir: Thank you for your service. You and your com-padres were actually fighting for this country's existence. Had Hitler not been stopped this country may well have ended up being a part of his empire.
Unlike the wars today, this country's freedom was in jeopardy and you and your fellow warriors saved this country. Again, Sir, thank you for your service.
