There is a critical shortage of medical professionals everywhere. Many of the new medical professionals are picking no critical care careers. They are not going surgical, Family Care, etc. Unfortunately many senior doctors have voiced their opinions that many should would in the critical fields then go to specialties. Many young doctors say its because they do not want the long hours. However, if your going to be a doctor you SHOULD have to serve where the need calls then branch out. To me it only makes you a better qualified doctor. That being said, many of the young doctors are not as good as those whom have invested so much more into the system.
