Anyone know when this will start and can expect to be completed?

I will be flying to the Greenville-Spartanburg airport this weekend, I had a horrible time trying to find my way around it, since exit to the airport was closed, coming from I26E from Asheville.
There were no signs pointing to a detour.
How do I find my way OUT of this airport without driving two or three hours? I have to find my way to 85 then 26W to Asheville.
Can somebody please help?
Thank you
Carola
