Preparing for deployment

Soldiers of the 301st Chemical Company based in Morehead joined members of the 299th Chemical Company at the National Guard Armory Saturday to prepare for their upcoming deployment to Iraq.

The reason we are at war (democracy or freedom)has nothing to do with the fact that this group of local men and women are going to do a job that gives stupid people like you the freedom to say this shit....What you need to be saying is, "Is there anything I can do in return for you risking your life so my stupid mouth can run?" How many care packages do you donate to or send to all the soliders who take a nap on the ground after a 24 hr mission or have to walk 3 miles to take a shower in 100degree temperatures. Remember when you run your mouth or sleep in a soft bed or use deodorant after a shower that those soldiers doing a job for your freedom based on a "gamble from a simple minded vindictive president" deserve your full and absolute respect at all times regardless of your opinions.
And since you know so much about what we should or shouldn't do as a nation I'll look forward to seeing your name on the Presidential Ballot in 2012....

Could you please back off a little. Alot of us have family going overseas soon...whether we support the war or not. I still support my brother in his decision to join the National Guard. It sucks that he has to go overseas, but I just hope he stays safe and comes back home.

Sounds like RattleCattle needs to move to China or somewhere else. What ever the reason the war is what is it is. And if our troops don't finish the job they will be followed home. Most of the troops are young men trying to pay for college or see the world, looking for a way out of a small town. So the least you can do is Support the troops. Let them know that regardless of what they have to do, you wish them well and hope they come home safe.....Or shut the hell up. You obviously have never had someone close to you join the military. If your not proud of America and our bad choices (in your opinion) get the hell out!!

simply put, you do not have to support the war. you really don't. but have a little respect for fellow citizens who are being deployed, as well as their families. if not for the military members volunteering for service, you could have been drafted.
