But we shouldn't automatically assume all of them are out to get us, and we shouldn't start stomping until we know what we're aiming at.
I know for a fact that they're not all out to get us ... I've worked in Yemen, Oman, Kuwait, UAE, Pakistan, Brunei, Algeria ... and I know the general, working class stiffs in those countries want approximately the same things that we working class stiffs over here want. Unfortunately, they are very effectively suppressed from making any major changes to their respective governments, I feel bad for them, but they gotta "man" up, grow some and force change from within their own borders. Prolly not gonna happen. It's hard to argue with guns and the thugs carrying them, you show up for the 0500 eerie "call to prayer" or you probably get placed on some kind of list (or worse). They are like Orwell's "1984" in the level government fear/control.

You're much more liberal than me and most of the posters and it's because of that that i wanted to direct my questions to you. Hope you don't mind? While i think the automatic assumption you mentioned will be difficult for a lot of people, i DO see your point.
As to the 'stomping' portion, do you think it would be fair to demand in-depth investigations of those people who turned out into our own streets to celebrate last week's massacre?
Also, in the past week, the idea has been heavily bandied about that more Muslims did not publicly speak out in condemnation of Hasan and his actions because they fear reprisal from within their own communities here if they do so. Wouldn't it seem a smart move for authorities to determine exactly who it is THEY fear?
Would we not make progress toward calming people and reducing suspicion if the authorities would begin some processes to separate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak?
Now you are asking too much from government and law enforcement. This would require a finesse that we don't possess any more, if it can't be seen from a predator and shot with a hellfire, photographed from a satellite, wiretapped or intercepted by NSA it does not exist. What is Humint ?, something we don't have anymore except on TV and in movies.

Tell that to the families of the 5000 dead Americans....Our military is the greatest fighting force on this planet and the only reason we have the freedoms we do today, even the freedom for you to bash this country. Try that in North Korea, China, Venezuela or the rest and you will dissapear, better think before you praise communism/socialism.

Harm is a relative thing and as I weep for the lives lost due to terrorist activities I can rightfully feel harmed by them without physical wounds or contact.

Our Military is about defending America and giving payback to those who attack us.

If you were to deport a group for the actions of one person then this country would be completely empty.
Should we assume all Christians think like Eric Rudolf? All former soldiers like McVeigh, all black people are Black Panther members, and all White People are KKK members?
Based upon conflicts around the world in the last twenty or thirty years or so, almost all the conflicts consist of Islamic antagonists.
Muslims attack their Hindu neighbors.
Muslims attack their Bhuddist neighbors.
Muslims attack their Jewish neighbors.
Muslims attack their Christian neighbors.
Muslims attack their Atheist neighbors.
Muslims attack their Muslim neighbors.

Correct again. It's the Islamic extremists that "interpret" the Koran as a right to kill in the name of Allah and protect the sanctity of their homeland. We have Christians that are the same way. Timothy McVeigh comes to mind.

In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc.
I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.
Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself.
And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide).
We said an expert should know what he's talking about.
And we said okay.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyber space, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

"Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name; make known among the peoples his deeds!"
