If they increased prescription drug use in the military & publicized this it would probably be the greatest recruitment drive ever. Especially among poor, young, unemployed drug addicts that can no longer afford street prices L0L.
Soldiers get wounded & hurt in action so it's stands to reason many of them need pain medication for various pain issues.I could be mistaken but I think I heard something about military & VA doctors can't be sued for malpractice. If this is true these doctors may be more liberal with their prescriptions because they are protected against malpractice suits for over prescribing. Of course I guess they can still be charged with over prescribing by the DEA.

Either way, as a citizen of this great nation, why would you suggest or even hope for such a hell to be bestowed upon the peacekeepers of America. Its people like you, that need to be forced to pick up a rifle and stand a post, to feel what it's like to be between this country and an enemy! Maybe then you'd have some respect and compassion for the soldiers who protect the very laws and freedoms that let you write such a ridiculous reply. Keep getting high and spouting off at the mouth, hopefully natural selection runs its course! God bless my brothers and sisters downrange ...

I better narrate that post for ya hun as you seen to be a little out of sorts over the content. The first paragraph was meant in jest. The "LOL" should have been your first indicator of that. The 2nd paragraph was a little more serious voicing an opinion as to why military doctors may or may not prescribe more meds than a civilian doctor. Your brothers & sisters downrange are doing just fine. Frankly, I have a lot of respect for them because they where put in harms way via Iraq by a president that put them there for all the wrong reasons. A man in Afghanistan plans & carry's out 911 so what does our president do he invades Iraq ? That's kinda like driving to New York because you want to visit Los Angelas L0L !!! As for picking up a rifle & standing a post no thanks. I'm too nervous for the service. Besides this country is not free for everyone. It's certainly not free for chronic pain suffers. This country is geared towards white middle class Americans that vote republican, drive mini vans & believe everything their government tells them without question. If you're on any fringe of that element you're gonna fit in like a square peg in a round hole. But I'll make you a deal. The day I can walk in a drugst

Wow, I guess things have really changed. When I injured my back in the Air Force 14 yrs ago, it was really hard to get a dr to believe my pain was real much less give me pain meds. When they did it was 12 tylox or vicodin, never 30 days worth! Standard protocol was motrin 800 and flexeril. It took me 3 yrs to get a dr to order an MRI and it was done mostly to "shut me up"....even wrote "doubt" on the order. 2 wks later, surprise, surprise...3 herniated discs, L4-5 "rather large" compressing spinal cord. "Wow. You're so young. You have the spine of a 50 yr old. Here's some more motrin!" That was my experience. I had to get out to get anything done about it...and surgery at Walter-Reed Army Medical Center...worst experience ever!(out of my 5 surgeries)

When WE signed on the dotted line we swore allegiance to not only our country but whomever our citizens appointed commander in chief. My comrades are tasked with one purpose and that is to follow orders of that commander, regardless of what the order is. If we had your attitude we wouldn't be this great country we STILL are today. You and everyone's support for the troops should be unconditional, regardless who runs the country or your opinion of that individual. Your comments were simply ignorant and a prime example of why sometimes it's so hard to deploy for a year overseas, because I have to wake up in the morning and read comments like yours.

What if someone similar to the beliefs of hitler or Mussolini was the president of the u.s but no one knew his real objectives til after he told all the lies to get people to elect him. Then your "commander in chief" who u swore to follow his command no matter what it is or who it is (as u said in ur post) commands the military to nuke china and the eu and to do a mass extinction of all countries that could possibly be a threat to us and lead an extermination of all women and children of these foreign countries to not worry about backlash of children 20-40 years down the road. Would u follow ur commander then? You probably would because you can't think for yourself your mind thinks what everyone else says it should think and what you have been told is the right way to think. People need to stand up for what they believe in and have a mind of their own not a mind of an authority figure whom has implanted in peoples minds that nothing matters but following some command. So many followers very little leaders.

Giving up your right to think & allowing the government to do all your thinking for you is wrong & scary. People like THE DUDE scare me. Him & many others will do anything in the name of God & country. They would throw live babies in to a burning fire if the president told them to & they believed God approved. As for this being a great country yes in man But this country will never be free for people like myself & others on this board. WOW, Sonya, you are retarded...just shut the *** up. Period. Secondly, I was injured in Afghanistan, when I came home I was refused medication after a surgery. The pain I felt was beyond anything I had felt before in my life...including the IED that did the damage...I have 6-8/10 pain every day with no help in sight. i sure wish morons with no pain or medication experience would the the **** up on what they know nothing about.
