Anyone who is stationed anywhere for the military is technically giving something up because they are giving up time with their family and friends. Although the article does not mention that he is sacrificing anything I think that that counts for something. I'm sure you sacrficed a lot too and no one is doubting that. However, I am so sorry that after being in the military you did not learn to support your fellow soldiers.

Darren, you must just be upset due to that horrific mullet in your picture...my condolences.
Yea; I'd post a picture of me on here just like I'd use my real name...uh-huh. To the person who asked what my rank was, I was a MSG/E-8. I was a 1SG in my last unit, and was Infantry for 21 years.

So you like mullets, Betsy? I have a shaved head since a tour in A-Stan and 2 in Iraq had me keeping it real short.

Naw, it was just my job. I didn't sacrifice anything but a marriage when I was a SSG/E-6 and my wife decided she couldn't handle being alone all the time. It's easy to say everyone will be faithful, etc, but it's a lot harder to practice it...

I've been with my girlfriend now since my wife left, and it works out for us not being married. I'm retired now and see too much of her though...lol She took care of my dogs, and all my stuff whenever I deployed, so I owe her big time.

My God; you're an idiot. I DO support the troops, with actions, and not words, probably unlike you. I'm retired from the Army.

I DON'T support newspapers that write articles portraying someone going to Korea, of all places, like it's a hardship tour. If he were married, and was willing to do 3 years, he could take his wife now. 2ID is allowing people to take wives and kids over there. What a "hardship".

"Dancing" on my grave would prove I'm stupid? That must be some of that hillbilly logic ya'll use. Personally, I think YOU would look pretty stupid dancing on any grave. Idiot.

Billy Joe Johnny,(I'll bet that IS your name) that girl had things to lose and nothing to gain since she wasn't MARRIED yet. Wait until she gets that ring on her finger and is entitled to half of everything the guy owns. Then let him run off to Korea for a year. You're clueless.
