Letter: In Hasan case, what happened to the right to speedy trial?
Is there someone in this country who can tell me why Nidal Hasan, the defendant in the Fort Hood shooting incident, is still awaiting trial? The Fort Hood shooting took place on Nov.

Hasan's attorneys are the reason this is taking so long. Plus it doesn't help that Hasan is not cooperating either(example is not wanting to shave). I think you should forfeit all rights when you don't cooperate. He is only prolonging the inevitable and he might as well just go with it and take his punishment.
