As we pause to observe Veteran's Day, I wonder how many of our military veterans, who today are serving their country at a post, or on a ship, thousands of miles from home, are thinking of that tree stand in the woods, where wild birds twit and twitter in the branches, and wishing they could be home for Opening Day.

Mr Piatt, Roger Hemminger lent me a copy of your book. It' went to Mali with me last month. A great read. I wish LTC Charlie Brown had lived to get his story told. Charlie was part of TF Rose/CCR/9th Armored Division at Bastogne. A great man.
My son just returned from his first deployment with the Navy. Thanks for the kind words.
