If residence dont like sonic booms they can pack their #^@* and move. HAFB has been around for decades and I am sure they wont stop doing what they do because people hate sonic booms. hehe

Thats an interesting position. Perhaps you aren't aware that they have taken no measures to prevent them, yet nearly all other installations have - decades ago....and their training has not suffered one bit. Are these other installations all wrong, do they not care about "freedom"? Holloman won't stop doing what they are doing b/c they have been allowed to ignore regulations. The "they" you are talking about are paid 100% by federally funds and should at least be expected to do their job 1/2 way correctly. Holloman has a wonderful situtation, they don't control the airspace, so they can play "see wsmr", and wsmr can play "see holloman". Ain't that sweet? It would be fine if only those that are more than willing to toss out their freedoms because they prefer to champion complete incompetence were adversely affected by the mismanagement of taxpayer funded operations. Buy, alas, this is not the case.

Guess you weren't aware that there are certain corridors throughout the US (mostly in the southwest) where the US government is allowed to break the sound barrier; Holloman AFB/WSMR is one of those corridors.

You must also remember the jets they have there create sonic booms more easily then others. If it's true that those jets are leaving(which I have heard) then once they do the sonic boom won't be as much of a nussance. I just try to remember the sonic booms means that we have jets flying, keeping us all the more safe.

Holloman is affecting people and cities in NM where they have no business. Just because they are Holloman doesn't mean they can do as they please they are in violation of human and property rights and they haven't compensated anyone for the taking of people's properties by what they are doing over them and as the Mayor from Florida who sued the AF said, suing is the only language they will listen to. They sure don't listen to people's cares and they know what they are doing to many people and the properties they have worked hard for. They are also is violation of what federal environmental laws state is required when federal agencies bring in project to cities and towns.

You are very right. The FAA is in on it too and has pretended it doesn't know a thing. Holloman is doing as it pleases with the blessing of the FAA and others who continue to give them tax dollars. There is great ignorance in some places in NM where people think being violently sonic boomed daily with other things going on over their property is alright. Some people don't even care what it is doing to their health and that of their children and grandchildren. Go to Facebook- Citizens against sonic booms

They have been say the F-22 is leaving for a long time and they are still here. They also are sonic booming with other aircraft and are planning to do so with the F-16 and F-35 if it gets here right over the people. Only in NM do they have to sonic boom with everything they have that can boom the people and places.

Other places have filed large class-action law suits and NM won't be any different.

Why don't you also mention that Holloman took airspace that didn't belong to it for sonic booms and combat training right over people and cities in NM counties and that's how this happened and they didn't publicize it to the citizens of NM. Yet, they are still telling the people that the booms and noise is coming from far away and sounds like "distant thunder". Yeah, right. lie to somebody else. They are also sonic booming in places like Las Cruces and other areas where they shouldn't even be sonic booming.

The White Sand swirling around the sky on a good wind day is more dangerous to the health of the residents living here than any sonic boom.
