The Missouri Constitution does not allow for same-sex marriage. Voters in 2004 overwhelmingly approved a measure stating marriages must be between a man and a woman to be valid and recognized in Missouri. It was the first state constitutional amendment restricting gay marriage to come after the Massachusetts Supreme Court permitted it there.

But the federal government DOES. And if they are receiving federal funds for their National Guard operations, I would think they need to comply.

It's not like they are offering free honeymoons to Vegas.

Actually, the next step up for them would be free honeymoons to Arkansas.

The Arkansas Constitution doesn't allow for gay "marriage" either. Why don't all the gays move to San Francisco and leave the rest of us the hell alone?

That would be silly.

It's much more sensible to ensure that gay folks can legally marry in every state.

What about all the gay kids being born there every year?

We're all fighting for THEM .... so they won't experience what we all did to varying degrees.

Do you REALLY need a constitutional amendment to keep yourself from marrying another gay person?

If you'd leave your sex in the bedroom like normal people do and stop taking every opportunity to shove it in our faces, things would go much more smoothly.

Society simply doesn't condone deviant, perverted sexual behavior.

If someone 'shoves sex in your face'; don't call us
.
Call the orgasm police:
.
"Help! Orgasm Police! Someone is shoving sex in my face!"
.
Works for me ;o))

First off.......seriously, how many times in a day do you think straight folks married or single discuss their sexual activities in the work place? More often than you know!!!

Secondly........it's NOT societies place to condemn or condone what people do in their private lives.......and again, straights have some pretty deviant, perverted sexual behaviors and fetishes as well!!!

Thirdly......it matters NOT whether you or anyone else likes the fact that Section 3 of DOMA is gone........the fact is that as long as the Federal Government provides funding for State National Guard Units.......and seeing as the National Guard answers to the Pentagon.......YES idiot.......they are required to FOLLOW the Laws of this Country.......remember that the Federal Constitution TRUMPS any State Constitution!!!

and in time it will be null and void here in Missouri....taking one state at a time. And it will prob the last state to accept it.
