But most of these Thatcher-phobes have been brainwashed by the BBC.

True, they claimed he brought "hardship" to the country during the war, and they elected instead Attlee who sold them a socialist utopia.
If it hadn't been for Thatcher, Britain would still be on strike since 1979!

To locate "liberal" press in USA, google secret tapings, blame, false claims, attacking black conservatives, hispanic conservatives, OWS rapes and looting, and former politicans being investigated for theft...and stealing from the taxpayers.

In her first term, Thatcher had a role in deceasing inflation of the Pound Sterling and enacted many policies to stimulate Britain's economy. One of the most popular things she did was decrease the income tax rate in Britain from 98 percent to 40 percent for the top earners, 83 percent to 60 percent for the middle class, and 33 percent to 25 percent for low wage earners. Folks like Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney could stand to live in Britain then, and two million people who made next to nothing did not have to pay income taxes at all. Thatcher kept money in the pockets of her constituents by keeping less government hands out of them.

Thatcher wanted British businesses to create jobs and flourish. She encouraged free enterprise by directing the privatization of under-performing government owned enterprises. She gave ordinary people the chance to buy stock in those companies, cementing the London Stock Exchange as the most powerful stock market in Europe.

Thatcher allowed more children to buy their own milk, chuckles.

Funny that, I've spoken to several older Tories on forums and each , bar you have said that in their opinion Attlee was a superb PM, despite him being Labour.

You would still vote Tory if they taxed is all for fresh air wouldn't you?

And that socialist utopia improved the quality of living for many, unlike the squalor and decay the Tories always leave behind.

People are free to think what they want.

Personally, I absolutely despise Labour and everything it stands for; I dislike socialism. Like my parents and my grand parents, I am a Tory through and through,I have always voted Tory so far; I cannot vouch for my children though...

Only UKIP could distract me from voting Tory, if Cameron don't get his act together before the next general election.

...hopefully your children will know better, you see you have not been allowed to think for yourself RIO, you voted Tory because your parents and even grandparents did.

I'm sure if you stepped back and decided for yourself you may well not have voted story.

Not very surprising you would up sticks to UKIP....Cameron is not RW enough for you inst he?

So, to paraphrase PM Thatcher, you'd have the poor be poorer as long is it meant the rich were less rich?

The reason you can't find one is that the media are all controlled by huge conservative corporations.

There is no "liberal media" and you continue to live your superstitious lie.

I vote Tory like my folks because we are well off. Why should I vote for poverty under Labour?
Labour wants everybody to be poor and receive welfare. That's how they get voters, by inventing new welfare schemes all the time, and leaving a trail of debts behind.
The present economic situation was created by Blair and Brown, and hopefully Cameron and Osborne will put the country back on its feet, and attack the scroungers.
