Good for Joey. He has did his time now leave him alone. Prison is prison no matter what prison it is. Until you have been told when you can eat, sleep, and bathe then you truly don't know the meaning of the word "jail".

Everyone in Booneville gets treated like crap and a criminal after they spend any amount of time in jail so Mr. Langston should be no exception. He has a bad reputation now and should be harrassed by police just like everyone else does who has been labeled a criminal. Joey Langston is an idiot for doing what he did and it is bs that he got a slap on the wrist and only did a few years. If you have an important last name in Booneville, thats all that matters and it's unfair to EVERYONE else!!!

Name someone in the community that as done more for Booneville than the Langston family. Does tearing down a family make you feel more important?

Exactly. Someone like him who has done a lot is held to a higher standard and he is a big disappointment. There are a lot of people that have done good in Booneville, maybe not with as much money as Joey, but he had it from getting more money from bribbing people. Think about the people he was hurting with the bribes. He ripped people off and they didn't get a fair settlement because of him. I can name a lot of people that has done good in Booneville. Sammy Henderson Ray Hall Bro. Parman Bob Palosky. Sammy has been a great assest to helping youth in our town. He is an honest good man who would do anything for anyone. Ray Hall is the same way. Bro. Parman has touched the lives of many and Bob was a good honest cop that got run out because of crooked cops. So there, I named someone!! And you can't blame a family for what one individual does. I didn't say anything about his family.

I see that you have no trouble casting the first stone. Should the charities which he supported, including the boys and girls club, the police league, etc give the money back to the court then? Should all the law enforcement in the county give back their bullet proof vests?

If any Joe off the strret did the same thing they would of had suffered harsher consequences and you know it. I have heard cops say out of their own mouths that his children expected to be let off with a warning when they got pulled over and had no problem trying to use their last name to get off. What I am saying is that since Joey was held to a higher standard and broke the law then he should at least do a reasonable amount of time. It's not like he stole some candy from the store hun, he tried to bribe a judge. That is serious and he got a lesser punishment than he should of. People already don't trust the legal system and he makes it a lot harder to put faith in our justice system.

True enough, he will continue to have charitable, political, community leader status. Wife on multiple powerful boards, etc. So it should give those with power envy plenty of ammunition to post on this all important, world-changing anonymous spineless gossip forum.

Wake-up!! How about the ones lying in their graves because of the drug traffiking,he's been involved in FOR yrs.The woman that sold my family member drugs was taken care of by him,and is the mother of his illegitimate son.Everyone in Jumpertown knows this as does anyone who has had to deal with drug addiction in their family.Where have you people been, have you had your heads buried in the ground!Every one in her family knows about this other son I wonder if his family does or his church family.I so hoped he would end up in a real jail, and Bitch to some big ugly dude, that's what he deserved!
