You donít have to be a career Marine in order to know the right and wrong way to conduct yourself. You carry what you learned from boot camp to the fleet for the rest of your life. And the fact that any Marine would try and stick up for another Marine who clearly did the wrong thing, especially when those actions place other Marine at risk just shows that you lost your way and your honor.

I can understand that. There was no stress from 1989-1993.

He urinated on a deceased enemy combatant.
Nevermind the big picture; that members of the human race were committing genocide on each other.

I served too Marine ...and thankfully I was never called upon to take another mans life. If I had, perhaps I'd feel differently.

They jumped ranks ...this was an issue for a squad leader to deal with. A courts martial is overkill.

I agree with you
he needs to shut up. Punish him In private he doesn't deserve this. These men have seen so much. I'm sure they are angry and full of hate that' is what keeps them going. He pissed on someone. How many Americans did he see get killed? How many did he kill for his country. I'm sure the good hes done out weighs the bad.

We are and should be held to higher standards than so-called soldiers in other countries. The way we conduct ourselves isnít determined by our geographical location. Maybe this could have been dealt with in a private fashion; unfortunately for him his disgraceful actions went public. The bottom line is that he is a professional Marine and he did the wrong thingÖ stop making excuses for him trying to justify his actions.

US Army 1983 - 2004.
I served multiple combat tours, and my opinion as an NCO is that the incident should have gone no farther than the Battalion level. It was an offense under the UCMJ, and warrants some punishment.

The introduction of social media has changed the dynamics of warfare. Armchair Generals will analyze frame by frame anything they feel incriminating to support thier cause. This causes a call of greater punishment that is warranted.

The actions, in my opinion, were unacceptable behaviour, regardless of what others have done in the past.

These soldiers should have been issued tickets for public urination and returned to their units.

This MC fake poster is a John Kerry type of soldier if he is one at all. I know we would have let this go as part of war..and stuff like this happens often.

I guess we'll have to disagree. I'm glad we could do it without name-calling, unlike a lot of these posters.

I would rather be pissed on after I'm dead, than have my head cut off while I'm alive.

I think the fckunig finger of righteous indignation is pointed in the wrong direction.

Take me to the brig, I want to see the REAL Marines - Chesty Puller

That's the second post where you've mentioned boot camp. Sorry but we arerched talking about COMBAT here. If that's all you've got then just admit you've got no experience in this situation and move the fu@k on somewhere else. You're all spit shined and starched, these guys are fighting to stay alive.

A bad day for you was a scuffed boot. These men are watching their best friends getting killed. You have NO BUSINESS in this discussion, no knowledge, just an opinion of someone who drank a little too much koolaid in boot camp.

You can badmouth these guys all you want but they have Combat Action Ribbons and you do not. They could be all get a big chicken dinner tomorrow and will still be more Marine than you ever will be. Now go spit shine that!

They say once a Marine always a Marine...but we'll make an exception for you. You don't belong, you are not one of us. You're out of the club, bitch.
