The resiliency of the Filipino people will help overcome the destruction caused by Yolanda typhoon.

Help cannot get there soon enough. It will be difficult reaching areas further inland due to the debris clogging roads. But food, water, medicine, shelters are desperately needed.

What happened to the helicopters? or C130 that could drop emergency supplies by parachutes?

The problem is if you drop supplies from helicopters there will be stampede and chaos that is why they are not doing it the only way to do it is to deliver it by truck and give the supplies as rations.

I think what they can do is to setup a big tent with soldiers and doctors in the middle of a provincial area and helicopters can drop supplies there and from the tent the supplies will be rationed.

They could have dropped just for temporary hunger relief before the people got desperately hungry and before a military team arrives to supervise smooth distribution and management of supplies.

you can't dictate where the taxpayers of the USA will be spent. That is the prerogative of the government of the USA. Millions of Fil Ams are paying taxes in the USA.
