UN General Assembly adopts unanimous resolution against drones strikes

December 19, 2013

United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has adopted a unanimous resolution against the US drone attacks. The resolution was tabled by Pakistan and several other countries in the UN General Assembly.
The resolution urged the international community to observe international laws with regard to the drone strikes.
Since 2004 the United States has carried out hundreds of missile attacks from unmanned aircraft on suspected militants linked to the Taliban and Qaeda.
The vast majority of them have hit targets in the seven tribal areas bordering Afghanistan, which have a separate legal and political governance system from the rest of the country.
The number and identity of casualties is often hard to determine because the tribal areas are off-limits to foreign journalists and aid organisations, but the London-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism estimates deaths at between 2,500 and 3,700.
Hundreds of civilians have died in the attacks, according to various estimates, prompting outrage in Pakistan and abroad.
A major report last month from rights campaigners Amnesty International said the US may be guilty of war crimes.

Drones are a result of a nation that supports non-state militancy and uses them to kill and maim the citizens of neighboring state; in effect a proxy war is waged; reprisals are to be expected; drones are the best bet to precisely eliminate the cowards who hide behind citizens and kill others; Drones cause the least damage, as opposed to larger scale aerial bombardment; Pakistanis never offer an alternative to the use of drones! Pakistanis also never address the reasons for Drones in the first place ! How come Drones are used only against militants hiding in some nations? Also what is wrong in killing from a distance? Arrows, Catapults, Spears, Missiles, Bombs, Rocket propelled granades, are all a means of killing from a distance; drones are merely the latest in such a weapon.

Why don't we use drones in Israel to get rid of Hamas?

Or why not in other countries with terrorists? Why only Pakistan.

White c*** so should we use drones in Israel to get rid of Hamas then?

And why only use drones in Pakistan (and Yemen)? There are many other countries out there with terrorists but drones aren't used there.
