Jodi Arias

Jan 18, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: ABC News

The murder trial of Jodi Arias has been punctuated with increasingly angry calls for a mistrial and the arguments have cited a woman's claim of being stalked and menaced, suggestions of ethnic bias and personal jibes among the lawyers.

. Very interesting fact. I missed that also. If anyone else was involved I think its matt mcartney. Did u sEe the coded message she tried to get to him??? The way she spoke in message wasn't they way u ask a favor. Her message sounded more like it was to someone who had a invested intrest. If I was asking someone to purger them self I certianly wouldn't say - "you f***'d up - get down here to see me asap - we. Can fix this!"

Good point. Weird to be so insulting and demanding when you need a favor. But the accomplice theory has a couple of problems - if it was Matt McCartney, she didn't bring him with her. And would he drive several hundred miles and risk his life and freedom to help kill a guy for her that he didn't even know? The "blood atonement" theory is incredibly far fetched, and apparently JA didn't know anyone but Travis's friends in Mesa. Also it would create a witness for premeditation, and she went to such great lengths to avoid detection - like you guys I think she went there prepared to kill him - but only if he didn't accept the last chance she was going to give him. She wouldn't want anyone else around while she was seducing him, would she?
"Splitting" is a hallmark of Borderline Personality Disorder, and basically explains all her behavior. With BPD, a person who pleases them earns adoration as if they hung the moon - but that same person, upon displeasing them, becomes the vilest thing on the planet, and can inspire almost inhuman rage, and these extreme views can can spin on a dime with little to no warning. The premeditation comes in the cunning preparation and killing their target (if he refuses to continue being a tool) is justified in their minds, because of this "betrayal."
As far as the coded message goes - BPDs can be arrogant, demanding and expect inordinate sacrifice and compliance from those around them. While her judgement is questionable, her entitlement is par for the course. And she may have pissed MM off too the point he's now a rebuttal witness for the prosecution, as JM seemed to indicate.
Some co-morbidity of Axis 2 Cluster B sociopathy explains JA's behavior from start to finish. If you've ever seen it for yourself, up close and personal, watching and listening to JA is like watching and listening to an eerie echo.

I know sparks. In fact I have family that live on Prater way.

Meals seem very cheap for a cheeseburger and fries. Has anyone eaten there? For the cost is sounds more like a happy meal size. Maybe she bought one and then realised she was still hungry.

Hello
I have attempted to educate you in the past, but I will give it to you en-breve one more time. Think in wrms of self defense and or battered woman syndrome. Multiple gruesome wounds is not uncommon in cases when they kill their male lover. Does not in and of itself prove the elements of first degree murder, nor any crime when self defense can be established. Prosecution must also prove that Jody intended to kill Travis when he let her in the house, otherwise it does not reach the level of premeditation.
All day kinky sex, ropes and BDSM esque relationship. This is a low degree Manslaughter case at best. Something happen when he was cleaning up in the shower, further debasement, which pushed her over the edge.
All of her lying and running, is not uncommon in these type of cases, althiough she should have called 911 and stayed at the scene. Some battered women do this, but most flee.
I have nothing against Travis, he was enjoying himself with a hot willing Jody, but there can be deadly conseguences to BDSM sex games. Travis was a good guy, but young and still arrogant and lacked soohistication.
Did you catch the interviews last week with another doe eyed young Latina who he was grooming. He had her assigned to picking up dog poop and running errands for him. She wouild stay in his Master bedroom all alone for many hours and his roomates did not even know she was in the house.
I could have handled Jody and nothing bad would have happen.
OMG, picking up dog poop, running errands and being alone? Are you kidding me? What do you think wives do for their workaholic husbands? Survey says: Everything and all other tasks as assigned. Did Jodi read the Shades of Gray series to get her ridiculous scenarios? I don't believe anything that comes out of her mouth. This is a ridiculous charade of a trial. I just want it to be over. BTW, one of Travis's girlfriends ended up dying of a gunshot wound to the head. Does that warrant a look see? I can't believe people are mesmerized by Jodi. She is not hot in the least.

I think she done this in self-defense. She is clearly a victim of this mans control. I think this is a way she was free from his control.
There has been too much press on this, therefore I think they will have to give her a little time to keep down the controversy.
I sure hope you don't have a twin on the jury.

Maybe the "blood atonement" angle is a way to further smear (no pun intended) the savage murder of Alexander. It has been said Arias is "smart" and I believe she is more cunning and manipulative than smart (as in bright). It falls in to place that she would cloud ("fog") up the issue than make it clear.

Travis's friend, Ms. Hughes, said Jodi Arias tried playing good Mormon girl and when that didn't hook Travis like a big fish/prize, she tried sex and that did not work as far as getting a marriage proposal.

I don't know why they are going into the possibility of childhood abuse as causing her behavior. If that were true, there would be murders like this everywhere. My point is many kids are physically disciplined and certainly verbally abused worldwide. Now, it is being said that most or all of it is fabricated.

Just tonight, I was flipping through the channels and saw a snippet of Family Guy. Lois lost it and swatted Stewie once. Then it showed Stewie's version where he was totally abused. I think this is how Jodi's mind works. She maximizes and embellishes everything. She has personality disorders (JMO) which have a low success rate of being improved even with treatment and the only reason this came to light was because she is incarcerated and on trial.

Allegedly, people called and begged her mom to get Jodi help, but Jodi wouldn't accept help or didn't think she needed help. Wasn't Jodi prepared to pack up and leave to avoid facing arrest? Where was she going to go?

OMG. It has been bothering me how everyone keeeps saying she is smart - I have been. Saying since the beginning she is not smart she is a fake! Her. She has a above average vocabulary but uses most of her above average words. Out of context or botches them altogether! She isn't smart she just remembers words other people say & tries to use them - manipulating, cunning, fake but NOT smart at all.

She has been described as a chameleon, taking on characteristics of those around her. I found it really creepy when it seemed she was trying to do the Single White Female thing with her female defense attorney. There is even a pic of Jodi with her arm around her defense attorney and they are both smiling. She sometimes even wore similar outfits to her attorney. Not sure if she has mimicked Alyce Violette yet, but she did wear her hair back. Will she come to court at some point with her hair all chopped off or is it too useful for her? Someone said she was hiding behind her mane when she was fake crying.

I don't know about smart, but she is not educated beyond the 11th grade and had Ds' and F's when she quit school. She is not academically smart. Cunning, manipulative, and chameleon-like but not smart. She was cunning enough to win over the expert witness who seemed to buy into her journal entries. She managed to get Alyce to get her a magazine subscription and to send her books. She says she does this with other clients.

The only thing she seems to be good at on the stand is saying "I don't know" or "I don't remember"...citing memory lapses.

I agree. But JA believes she's smarter than everyone else. The irony is that her arrogance has been her downfall. I mean, she thought she was so clever to cover her tracks using the car rental, gas cans, cellphone battery story, fake reason for trip to LA, license plate flip, etc.- but in doing so she left a much clearer trail that actually proves premeditation. And deleting a camera card and thinking that washing a camera would destroy that evidence was pretty stupid, too. I mean, who hasn't had to recover a deleted file or files from a crashed computer? That's what a "memory card" basically is - a tiny external data storage drive drive. All she needed to do was take the card and destroy it. She didn't need to ruin the camera. And faking a burglary to steal the .25 then shooting Travis with it and leaving that evidence after she cut his throat? How stupid was that?

If JA was half as smart as she thinks she is, she'd be twice as smart as she is.

Arias is cunning more than she is smart, add to that her devious and manipulative skills and you end up with a dangerous person. She does, in my opinion, like to play with the truth using lies of omission or answering without really answering the question.

Her testimony on the stand was fraught with lies with strings of truth interwoven in them. Here is an interesting section in part of her testimony:

"This fog is not so deep that it stops you from attempting to fabricate evidence, right?" Martinez asked.

"That would be correct," Arias replied.

"All of these lies ... are meant for your benefit, so that you can escape responsibility," Martinez said.

"Yeah, so I could escape whatever for the time being," Arias replied

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/28/jodi...

She knows she is guilty and playing it out until she can no more. Her "Yeah, so I could escape whatever for the time being," supports it.

In her testimony she never really admits shooting Travis. She had the gun, it went off, she didn't see blood, wasn't sure she hit him.
There are many appeal issues with this trial. All the hearsay from Mimmi. Tire slashin'? Doggie door?

When Jodi walked in on Lisa Andrews and Travis, Jodi says he chased her down in his car. Wonder how Lisa remembers it? I don't recall anyone asking Lisa about what Travis' reaction was to the encounter. I think it's pretty important, IF Travis went after Jodi when she turned and left the house.

On a side note:

How in the hell did Nurmi get access to Travis' electronic communications with all these other women?
Does that not infringe on these other ladies' "privacy rights"? Damn, it blows me away......really.

Let this be a lesson to us all!!!!!

It is easy to take a picture of a picture and create a whole new time line.....

Just sayin'....

Did the Police review any security videos from the businesses, traffic cameras, other neighbors around Travis' home? I haven't seen any.....

Just sayin'....

I would have stuck with the intruders.......

Detective Flores told her that neighbors saw her there and that they knew who she was.
She certainly knows how to ramble and deflect, a lot like her new hero...Alyce Laviolette.

ALV is starting to feel the backlash from testifying as an expert witness on this case.
It appears her presence as a speaker at seminars is no longer required. Oops.
She stepped in a steaming pile of dog dung and never even saw it coming.

No one, that I heard, testified to seeing her there.
So, the answer is, "no", they didn't bother with any video proof that established an "independent" timeline.

How can Jodi have any secrets in jail?
I saw that jail cell. It looks cramped to me, but for someone who grew up like Arias did, it is probably adequate. She's got her three hots and a cot. It's certainly a far cry from the luxurious surroundings of her dead ex-boyfriend's house. She should have handled him with kid gloves. As her father said,
Mr. Alexander was the best thing that ever happened to Jodi.
