Hello All ~ I am new to this site, and by all Heavenly Spirits wish I never had to locate it, but I am looking for some advice as to my son.
My son, Tom, had Thoracic Surgery at the end of June (26th). It was to repair a ruptured diaphragm and perforated stomach. He was moved to ICU due to septic shock and major organ failure. He recovered from that, with a lot of set backs, and is now at home. He still experiences bouts of loose stool, chest pain, stomach pain, and nausea.
My question is this: Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of diet I can feed him in order to firm up the stools. He is 26, and is wearing adult diapers, and is very confused as to why this isn't clearing up. He is developmentally challenged, but was (will be again) very high functioning. No incontinence, no diabetes, no dialysis, until the "accident" that prompted the surgery.
Any advice would be welcome
