J&J brand DePuy has taken some hard hits over the recall of their hip implant systems. I imagine it will take quite a lot of work to recover consumer trust over this one.

As far as I am concerned Johnson & Johnson/Ethicon/Gynecare doesn't deserve one iota of consumer trust.

Have you read anything on the surgical mesh issues women are experiencing with their bladder mesh products. They are life altering, devastating injuries. This company and its subsidiaries are a disgrace.

Hey Suzanne! A lot of people feel the way you do. The name Johnson & Johnson used to be synonymous with reliability and trust. Now, products like DePuy's Pinnacle and ASR hip replacement systems are being plagued by recalls and lawsuits. This recall on J&J products is giving their company a bad name. Many patients are complaining about their hip replacement devices. A number of patients have already taken action regarding this matter. I have come across a site that can help you with that. http://www.hiprecalllaw.com

Sounds to me that Johnson and Johnson are having a lot of problems with there products, perhaps if do more studies on it before they place this in people, they might not have so many problems. I am a victim of Gynecare mesh TVT what a mess the only one paying for all this pain and debilitating life is the person not the manufacture it self, that's who should pay for it. They have ruined a-lot of lives, with very little remorse.

Very Catastrophic indeed for Corporal Perkins, who has suffered for our country but a experienced worst than the war in Iraq as the defective hip implant is causing a war survivor's day to day life difficult. I hope that J&J can find a way on how to improve their products. Just imagine thousands of hip implant recipients had suffered a lot of complications and damages because they desired to become better in terms of hip mobility. Instead of improving, patients were disappointed because of their deteriorating hip implants. I hope this can be ended as soon as possible. Perkins is just one of the victims of DePuy's ASR system. Indeed thousands of lawsuits are lined up to be tried under the MDL not including thousands more under state courts. The recall has not made any difference at all since it was stopped after thousands of devices had already been implanted. It was even told that DePuy and J&J knew its defects beforehand however did not issue a recall right there and then. It's sad to know that many have to experience injury first before something can do about it. Right now J&J has been doing some negotiations and amicable settlements with injured patients to avoid trial. We just hope that everyone affected will be given justice.
