Hi,

thinking of taking a few reflexology sessions just for general relaxation can this be done or is it more for people with specific ailments? My second question relates to taking sessions in acupuncture. Is it a good idea to take these sessions if you are already taking reflexology i.e. double the benefit - again more for a general relation option as one would do via massage.

Thanks,

Andy

Generally, a reflexology session will cover all the reflex points for relaxation and stress-relief. A reflexologists may also emphasize certain reflex areas for specific ailments. Usually my clients come to me more frequently to work on specific ailments while the ones seeking relaxation may come once a month.

RE: doing both reflexology and acupuncture, they are very similar systems and I believe they would only enhance each other. I have a few clients that go to several alternative health practitioners on a regular basis. They tell me that each session just reinforces the other.

Reflexology stimulates the body to function at its highest capacity. This translates into more energy, clearer thinking, greater relaxation and sounder sleep to mention a few. In my practice, I specialize in pain relief or elimination. But after hundreds of treatments, there is very little I have not seen benefited by a treatment. Most recently I worked on a message therapist for her hot flashes. I told her that I had not worked on that specifically but was willing to try. She told me a few days later that the flashes had been greatly reduced. For more info you can contact me at vitaman101@gmail.com. I practice in the Dallas, Tx area.
