hi everyone, pls can any one give me some advice, i am studying and have a question that i can not answer, which is on visual examination of the left foot you notice that the client has a flattened splayed transverse arch, on what areas or reflex points would you expect to get a reaction? and what advice would you give to the client?
i have looked everywhere for a answer, i know that this is flat feet due to the clasped muscles in the foot, pls if any one know any info can you pass it on to me, many thanks

Hi, I'm not sure I can give you the answer you need but here is my experience. I have a flat right foot, I only found out about it when I was 25 and I was given special soles to wear to readjust my stature.
5 years ago I greatly suffered from inflammed muscles in my right knee and lower back. Basically I had stopped wearing these soles and kept carrying my 2 year old. Reflexology helped me to recover and I have taken up this natural therapy since then and try to encourage others via my site http://www.reflexologyfootmassage.com/

In my case the main areas to work on are the knee, hip and sacrum reflex points.

For your patient, I would suggest to work on these areas in zone 5 and feel for any "shifted" disorders.

I would think that a flat foot would be easier to manipulate. However the points of interest might be more difficult to find. See my sight for better charts reflecting this. www.reflexologyfootchart.net

I am a long term practitioner of Stanley Burrough's Vitaflex reflexology. In his book, he has a six point foot adjustment which balances both arches. This works very effectively. If you want more help you can reach me at vitaman101@gmail.com. I practice in the Dallas,Tx area and offer guaranteed pain relief.
