NARH steps into future with digital mammography

While mammography patients at North Adams Regional Hospital may not immediately see the difference two new digital mammography machines make during their exams, the top-of-the-line technology is bringing both efficiency and speed to the process.

Indeed they do ... although they use the word "compress" as opposed to squeeze flat. Compression is key to getting a good image ... which is key to early detection ... which is key to avoiding breast cancer.

They have some special pad you can use to cushion it and make it a bit more comfortable. Still no fun, but ya gotta do whacha gotta do!

A mammo really doesn't hurt. Enduring a bit of discomfort for a few seconds is well worth it!

Mine does. It's more than discomfort, it is pain. That qualifies as "hurt". It is well worth though!
