AUSTRALIAN BERGAMET EXPERIENCE
BergaMet has been available in Australia since late 2010. I have now used this in around 600 patients, typically with great benefit & very rare, minor side effects. Our experience mirrors the Italian results with the majority of patients experiencing significant improvements in some & often all common cardiac risk factors.
Typically, there is around a 30% reduction in total cholesterol, somewhere between 35-40% reduction in LDL cholesterol & triglycerides, up to a 40% increase in HDL cholesterol, along with a 20-30% reduction in blood glucose levels & an associated improvement in HbA1C, the best indicator of long term diabetic control. There are also variable benefits in blood pressure control & weight loss, in particular reductions in abdominal obesity.
Also, independent of the above benefits we are witnessing profound reductions in arterial stiffness, an independent marker for cardiovascular risk. Since the introduction, a few months ago, of the more potent BergaMet Mega, the results have been even more impressive & consistent.
The evidence to date clearly supports the statement that Bergamet is the most powerful, natural agent for the management of lipid disorders.
It is my opinion that bergamet should be used in the following clinical scenarios
1) Low risk patients or in statin intolerant patients to lower cholesterol
2) In combination with statins to improve lipid values & minimise statin side effects
3) In all patients with Metabolic Syndrome, as it is the only monotherapy that affects every parameter of this increasingly common condition

But why would you want to lower your cholesterol? High blood cholesterol isn't the problem and this has been known for almost from the start of the 'coronary epidemic'. For example:
"Blood cholesterol values are not found to be high in our adult cases who show arteriosclerosis. The group with the lowest average cholesterol is the group with the greatest arteriosclerosis. Neither can the cholesterol values in our series be definitely correlated with any impending or existing arteriosclerotic process."
(Joslin EP. Arteriosclerosis in Diabetes. Ann Int Med 1930; 4:54-66)

That was back in 1930. No clinical study since then has changed that finding.

Would you recommend Bergamot against daibetes? I also have a problem with pigmentation in my legs - scars never really go away, and can still be seen, therefore my legs are still full of scars collected over the years, but a little faded...

I have used http://qgeneric.info/#fzrz for about 3 years and find their products to be reliable and speedily delivered. The Support team are very promt and helpful in solving any issues that arise, caused by my errors not the company's. I was a little sceptical initially about buying generic products rather than brand names. However, the Mens' Health products I have bought have been equally as efficatious as the brand names at a fraction of the cost.
