i had the swine flu this summer .. At first it was diagnosed as allergies. ( like most doctors) until it got worse then a family member came down with the same symptoms as myself and tested positive for the swine is when my dr. tested me. I think we have to be our own dr. these days people are going out there with coughs not knowing what they have. If i would of coughed on a pregnant woman she could of died. 3 cases came through my local hosptial here in Chino Hills the same week i was ill... So if you have a slight fever or aching with a cough ,., force your dr. to test u for the flu. and yes the state does not cover all the tests but if you have insurance like myself they can bill them....

I just got over a flu (3 weeks ago) that turned to pneumonia in less than 12 hours. This traveled through my whole family regardless of how careful we were with hand washing and isolation. If this was the swine flu (which I can't be sure of) it was extremely contagious. Knowing how parents just can't stand to keep kids home these days and send them to school (sometimes even if they are throwing up in the parking lot, yes, I've seen it) I think the spread will be kind of inevitable.

I am not going to get a shot no matter what for this thing. I would rather get sick from swine then get even more sick from what the shot will have in it. It will have all sorts of extra garbage that will make you more sick.
Since I do not have insurance I always put extra money asside since I almost always go to the doctor a few times a year during flu season.

Keep your kids home if they're sick. Cough in your sleeve. Don't be gross and careless. Always remember that some one can die from this thing.
