I have bowlegs for 10 years and all this time i am trying to find right doctor who could make a surgery for my legs to be straight. Yesterday i find something with Google. It is Doctor Vitaliy Veklich. It is somewhere in Ukraine. Here the link: http://www.doctorveklich.com/
I saw some people who have the surgery - it is something: http://www.doctorveklich.com/patients.htm

Well i know it is possible to get a osteotomy to prevent bowleggedness. The doctor wanted to do this with me after i tore my acl but i decided against it because it was like 3 extra months.

hey, i have had my surgery in Taiwan. My doctor cut my leg bone and covered it with white stone(sorry, i don't know the name of it)for 2 months, and now I have a perfect left leg. You can only do one leg each time so you can still walk by crutch. 3 months after the surgery, I am now going to gym almost everyday and doing boxing aerobic exercise. The recovery is pretty fast although i am already a 35 years old woman. I am going to do the surgery for my right leg again in the end of this month. In Taiwan, our government takes bowlegs problem very seriously, our surgeries are even covered by government insurance, only cost us about 70 USD for 1 leg (include 3 days double rooms in hospital). I asked my doctor about this surgery, he told me it's actually came from US. My doctor is also a member of a US medical organization. So you may want to contact doctors in US and know if you can do it.

Hi!

Well Im so glad to meet whith other persons who have the same problem. Here in a fucking country as is Spain there is no clinic which could make this kind of operation,

BUT there are a center in Germany which, as in its web seems, make bow legs correction so good!

http://www.betzinstitute.com/

Good luck! i'm saving money too, the costs is about 12-15.ooo euros depending of the bow grade.

Here is my msn if you whant to change information

Hello all,
I read this post and thought I should add to it. The ilizarov method (frames on fixng bowed legs) was invented in Russia. It is a Russian technology. I did much research on hospitals all over the world that do this surgery and have decided to get surgery in Volgograd, Russia with O.G. Teterin. They quoted me $8500 (inclusive of 2 months room and board). www.cosmcenter.com
For more info there is a forum exclusively for leg correctionm but it is in Russian: www.legscorrection.ru -- there you can find all the Russian clinics that perform this surgery. I live in NYC and there is a hopsital that does this but only for medical purposes -- they also learned the method from Russia.

To continue to my thread above. I met the doctor that does bowed leg correction in Manhattan but since the surgery is only given for medical reasons he doesn't care much about scarring on the legs, etc. Also, the price is upwards of $100k. In Russia, they perform this surgery for cosmetic purposes, which may seem barbaric at first but isn't because they do it the safest way possible. They cut the bones and let it heal naturally using the frames, with minimal scars. That is why I decided to do it in Russia. I saw many before after photos on the legscorrection.ru forum too, which made it more believable.

There is also a place in Moscow and St. Petersburg but from what I read in the forum...they are both very good doctors but the moscow doc cuts the bone in a severe way (it looks like a fracture rather than a clean wedgelike cut) and the St. Petersburg doc -- I read -- is a pervert. Hahaha. They also don't provide housing in the operation cost so it's going to be more expensive.

Ladisten conditions are primitive. I travelled for a "consultation' at this clinic and was certainly not impressed. They tried their utmost to pressure me to have "operation" next day. The said that no Ilizarov device was necessary - a simple very small piece of metal screw to the leg would suffice. What quackery! I resisted the extreme pressure and returned home. Others have since posted very bad experiences on another forum.

I must have this surgery done and soon.
I had first noticed my legs were bowed when I was 10 years old... and I am 19 now going on 20...

It isn't a deep curve... but still effects me badly and I have seen photos that look just like my legs on sites so I know it is bad enough.

I've let my bow legs keep me from having a life, and I am done feeling the way I do about myself because of my legs.
I want to have surgery soon to below my knee area... and I am very interested in the information you have to give wether it be Personal experience to site, photo, your ideas. All.

Please...
Halle

I would like to have this surgery too. I am almost 30 and I have been trying to cover up with pants or skirts/dresses that go to the knee to 'hide' it of sorts. If anyone can tell me of any doctors around the Washington DC area because that would be more convenient for me please email me at:

Please help! Thank you!

I want to add that in asia this is common surgery for asias. I live in Japan and all throughout asia people get this surgery. It is kept quiet maybe but if you watch document on beauty in asia history to now you can hear about how legs get broken to fix curve and enhance height.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Capricorn

A certain person is strong-willed with the Full Moon in your emotional house of others. It's a lunar eclipse too, so this could lead to some ructions in which everyone becomes firmly entrenched in their own opinions and refuses to acknowledge anyone else's point of view. Get the arguments out of the way early on, so you can then concentrate on having a really enjoyable New Year's Eve.
