Breast Cancer - Facing Breast Reconstruction
Those of us who need -- or choose -- a total or radical mastectomy will probably consider having that breast 'rebuilt' through breast reconstruction .

I had a mastectomy and chose not to have reconstruction. The fact that I was never really "stacked" played into it. I was quite satisfied with my "adopted daughter," and I talked to a number of women who had breast reconstruction. It's markedly more difficult surgery to recover from, and every single one of them got a serious infection from that surgery.
So I skipped it.
