Ladies, research your doctor's rate for lyphodema before choosing him or her. Some have a much higher rate than others.

My surgeon removed all lymph nodes. I asked him about lymphodema and he said, "My patients don't get lymphodema." I believe him. I've never had the slightest trouble. I didn't baby it and I needed absolutely no physical therapy after a mastectomy (not a lumpectomy).

What surgeon you choose probably makes a huge difference when it comes to lymphodema.
