I'm a caregiver to a 6 year "survivor". Quality of life is decidedly NOT the M.O of the treating Oncologist my patient sees. The side effects have become so debilitating & came on so rapidly--& his answer: "Oh well, blame the radiation oncologist, not me" & "Deal with it".
