Hi my name is tamika and I Had sex with my boyfriend and started to cramp so bad it felt as if someone was kicking a life out of me.I am a person that keeps my body clean and makes sure that I test my boyfriend and I for STDs always.I have had this problem back and forth for about two years after taking out my IUD a birth controll that is insurted inside your uterus .Ever since that was taken out I have been getting all kinds of problems with my pelvic area including many yeast infections so I dont know how to feel about pain the doctors keep telling me its just a yeast infection pain. What they really need to do is see whats going to stop this for good.Ireally cant take this pain I get all of a sudden ,asspecially if I want time for me and my soon to be husband. erase my pain from this so called yeast infection!!!!

Pain with periods and pain -deep contact- during and after intercourse is a disease called endometriosis.
Early intervention is the only prevention , unfortunarely!

My comment is that after intercourse, my cervix seems to take on a mind of its own... the only way I can describe it (ok, this will sound wierd) is it acts as if it is moving around searching for his semen to engulf. It only happens after he cums in me, and is NOT related to whether or not (or when) I orgasm. I am an extremely fertile woman and my man has a zero sperm count... is it a chemical/enzymatic reaction? If so, what sort of reaction? It lasts for about 20-30 minutes and is not painful but I definitely feel it ---it is almost a ticklish feeling as it, like a hound dog's nose hunting for a fresh scent, it seeks to take in whatever it can find. I am a nurse practitioner and none of my gyns have a clue. Anyone else experience this???

I had a similar experience as yours so thank you for your comments! Yesterday my partner went deep inside me and i felt a sharp pain. Afterwards I felt neausea and some parts of my body were sore: uterus, ovaries and anus (without anal sex). It was even painful to fart. The first hour was the worst but some pain stayed overnight. It had happened also once a year ago and all the pain was gone after less than 1 week. Thanks to your experiences, I am wondering if it may be due to my urinary infection of 2 weeks ago, to the cervix contracting when the penis touches it, to polycystic ovaries with the one week leading to my period making acysts larger.......Right now i am in China so i don't feel too confident with the system, but i will keep you updated! Good luck
i have had a very similar experience. tonight me and boyfriend were having sex and after him going much deeper than normal, we had to stop because the pain was so bad. i could barely even walk. it hurt in my lower abdomen, my butt and my right side. i thought i was going to have to go to the ER or i would die. it was the worst pain i ever felt. i do recall this happening once several years ago, and i had to wait a few hours for it to get better, and i was still sore for a few days. sometimes it almost feels like the pain is moving around and shooting up. anyone else have pains like this? does anyone know why (for sure?)

I am right now experiencing this pain in my lower abdomen after intercourse. While having sex, my significant other went really "deep" inside of me and there was a sharp pain for a second. About 2-5 minutes after sex I started getting horrible cramps...enough to make me want to throw up. It is now coming up to 3 hours. It feels like I have to go to the bathroom and when I try...nothing. It also hurts if I sit directly on my butt (I did not have anal sex. Please help! Is there something to help relieve the pain? How long does this last?
I have done the exact same thing. I went to the doctor for it and she thinks it's endometriosis but doesn't know for sure. The pains are really sharp and I too feel like I have to go to the bathroom. The sitting thing happens to me too, except that happens every time I have a period, ovulate, or have sex. It hurts to sit or go to the bathroom (bm). I don't know what it is, but you're not alone.

After reading all of these posts and experiencing the same EXACT symptoms ocassionally after sex with my husband... I HAVE FOUND SOME RELIEF! It's great to know that so many other women experience this same problem. To relieve the extreme crpamping, TRY THIS... it worked for me!
* While sitting on the toilet; hold one hand in the other and ectend them over your head
* Arch your back as far as you can and take several deep breaths (repeat several times if necessary)
*(Should you have to) make a bowel movement and/or pass gas (not to be gross, but it did releive alot of the pain I was experiencing)
I hope this helps.

Good to see I'm not on my own. About 20 minutes after having sex last night - I experienced a very intense stabbing pain in my lower right side of - I guess my pelvic area. There were 9 jabs of pain before I fell asleep.
Last week - I had an HSG (womb ultrasound) to check for fertility and the only thing he noticed was the my right fallopian tube was slightly blocked - but he flushed it out with the iodine.
My question is this - wouldn't the HSG have shown if I had cysts or endometriosis? In which case - what the heck was this pain?

i've experienced the very same last night. it has happened to me a few times since i've been with my husband for the past 7 years. my period is about a week away and sex was uncomfortable but not painful yet immediatly after i couldn't walk, i had a sharp constant stabbing pain in my lower abdomin. i went through a fury of hot and cold spells. i went through waves of extreme queeziness, i too felt like vomiting. i felt an urgent need to urinate and after several attempts only managed a few drops, even that was painful. it felt as if a bowling ball was attempting to exit through my vagina. i laid on my side and hugged a pillow and then the pain spread to my mid and lower back. at some point i had passed out in midst of my misery. this morning the pain was still present it wasn't as sharp unless i moved my body a certain way, this afternoon it has become dull but it's still around. i do not know what it is but i will be seeing my obgyn in about 2 weeks. i'll keep u posted.
p.s. i'm relieved i'm not the only one.
This happened to me a few nights ago and it was horrible. I've given birth to two babies and this was worse. It lasted about 5 hours (the worst of it). I could barely walk, had severe vommitting, almost passed out on my way to the bathroom to vommit, but my husband got to me in time and sat me down. He was very scared, because we joke about I tough I am when in pain, but this was unbearable. My abdomen stayed bloated for 3 days, like I was 4 or 5 months pregnant. Finally today I have my appetite back and feel pretty normal. Anyone who's been to the doctor and found out what this could be? I called my ob-gyn, who set up an appt for 2 weeks away.

Okay, it's Dee again, and here's some info. I've been seriously digging on the internet for info on this and I found what I'm 99% sure happened to me (and maybe some of you). It's called CORPUS LUTEUM CYSTS RUPTURE. They are these ovarian cysts with sometimes no symptoms at all, usually clear up on their own, but if they rupture (like during intercourse) are horribly painful. Just google the info above that I have in caps and you can get some good details. I have a call into my Dr to see if she thinks it could be this and to get more info from her (I couldn't get in to see her til Oct30) and I will post info as I get it. Hope this helps.

Just recently i had sex with my boyfriend. He wore protection, but he didn't do enough foreplay. So I was not very lubricated. The next day I was feeling this really bad pulsing pain, and my vagina felt really hot, then in the afternoon it started to feel itchy. I'm really scared that somethings wrong. But I don't know what to do.

I have had the same experiences as a lot of you - severe cramps a little while after sex, especially around period time.

I told my gynecologist about this, and she felt my abdomen and pressed in different places and asked me if I felt any pain. I told her no, I didn't feel any pain right then. She said that it could have been due to ovarian cysts, but if the pain wasn't constant, then there shouldn't be a problem.

I have brought it up three times to three different doctors, and none of them have seemed concerned - but I intend to keep bringing it up to every doctor I see, just to hear their opinion.

But seriously, girls - it could be different causes for everybody. Go see a doctor and put your mind at ease. Even if they can't "fix" it, at least you will know what the problem is and maybe find out how to prevent it from getting worse in the future.
