Hi there, Im really quite worried and concerned so any advice or suggestion would be gartefully received. Ok, basically about a month ago i discovered that i had a bright yellow creamy discharge coming out of my vagina. As i was in a relationship at the time i instantly assumed that i had an STI and accused my boyfriend and promtly booked an appointment at the GUM clinic. I looked on the internet and become convinced that i had gonnorea and i told the clinic when i attended, i basically said "my boyfriend has given me gonnorea". They did all the swab tests and took blood but also routinely treated me for gonnorea. In a weeks time i returned for the results and they all returned back NEGATIVE, i didnt appear to have any form of STI, they didnt find thrush or anything like that at all. So i left, had a period, then afterwards the disgusting (non smelly) yellow discharge returned, its seems to be getting heavier each day now. I have not had sex with my (now ex) boyfriend during the pre-clinic, during treatment or after treatment, so in other words i have not had sex at all during this time. Now what i really need to know is if this is definatly not an STI, what is causing it? what could it be? How can i get rid of it? It so hard for me to get time off work, i dont have a doctor anywhere near to my home and i could never afford to visit a private gynocologist. But i really need to know what action to take as this is making my life a misery, i want to move on and start a new relationship but how could i do that when my vagina appears to be rather unwell....how can i sort this?

Is there any discomfort like itching or burning? I have been doing alot of reading about yeast infections and vaginal bacteria so could this be the problem? Your best bet would be going to a gyno or Dr. It may cost a little more than you want to pay but for your health it would be the best solution.

Simone-- What is wrong is simply that your vaginal muscles are weak. Because of this you uterus is probably slipping...yes, I said slipping. This means it is litterally lowering down into your vagina. So, your cervix is also lower and he'll be more likely to hit it harder which hurts and will cause cramps. It is also causing that "falling out feeling". You need to do Kegels. Basically they are excersizes for the vaginal walls. You hold your muscles in as if you were trying to stop peeing. That muscles control all of that and you can do these excersizes anytime, anywhere and no one will no. If the problem gets worse go to the dr because it can get as serious as needing surgery to move the uterus back into place.

Ok, the problem is that your vaginal walls are weak. this is causing the uterus to literally slip into the vagina making the cervix closer and therefore your boyfriend is hitting it easier and that causes cramps. This is also why you have that "falling out feeling". You need to do Kegels. Just Google "Kegel" and find the instructions for this simple excersize to stengthen the vaginal walls. If it gets worse or doesn't get better after a month go to the doctor because it may be so bad it requires surgery.

Hi, i had sexual intercourse about 2 weeks ago. i noticed about a week ago, my vagina had this real bad itching feeling. When i felt around, i noticed that my vagina had bumps around the walls. i wasnt bleeding, it didnt burn when i used the restroom or they didnt hurt. I think i recalled this from about 6 months ago, but i had got checked out for STD's and i was in the clear. I took the morning after pill about a week and a half ago and i was wondering what could this be. im n college at the moment out of state and was just going to wait until i got home to take a pregancy test and a STD test, but im really nervous. I researched a little and what caught my attention was gential warts. so could this be gential warts or just a real nasty infection.

What you have or don't have won't change by seeing them but if you have something it could get cleared up. There's a chance you could have an imbalance with "normal" bacteria. Which seems more inconvenient than anything

Ok to the original question yes you probably have an STI . I currently have genital warts and i have only ever slept with my boyfriend and he has never had them. However, i have the warts along with it comes some discoloured discharge. I know how u feel completly annoyed and dont understand how you have it. Treatment for the virus is none.. check for tiny warts .. not all people who have teh virus even know they have the virus. Its similar to chicken pox as such you may only have chicken pox once but teh virus shall always remain in your system.. once again its a scary thought. I hope this is of some use .. it doesnt matter how careful you are you can get anuythin i have learnt the hard way :)

To both Mary and Niecy: I have the exact same symptoms that you have. I've been doing a lot of research online, and I feel pretty confident that it's a bacterial infection. Since it doesn't burn, itch, or smell, I do not think it's anything too serious. The worst it could be is probably a form of HPV, which most likely will go away within two years, due to your immune system. I would still go to a clinic/gynecologist just to make sure.

I have a (sometimes) yellow discharge that is smelly. I only seem to have it in the morning when I am active like running around and walking. I do not have it everyday, but I'm still concerned about it. It doesnt itch or burn. I was tested for Chlamydia & Ghonorhea & Trichomoniasis in June 2007 and they were all NEGATIVE. My last pap was in Dec. 2007 and it was NORMAL. I've only had sex with my husband for the past 2 years so I'm a little confused??? Any advice??

hmmm so this yellow discharge sometimes happens to me too, along with white/clear discharge, but nothing ever itches or burns (sometimes there's a more distinct smell). i've never had sex before so should i be worried about this whole discharge thing?

thanks guys - this has helped me enormously and made me feel normal. i'm about to go to the docs as i've been on antibiotics and had a similar yellow and often smelly discharge. based on what i have read here it could just be a normal infection - thanks to all for sharing :-)

hi can anyone please help me ? I had unprotected sex about 7/8 months ago and it is about 4/5 months that I have been having vaginal yellow discharge which is heavy so I have to change my underwear every day because it is very uncomfortable and smells a little bit. I did some research on the internet and I found answers such as HPV condyloma virus ... 1) could this be my problem? what happens if i have it? does it cause death? 2) I gave an HIV test a month ago, is it possible that they also check for HPV condyloma virus?? please help mee, I will see my doctor on monday but I am scared until then ...
